Sunday 8th October 2017
The Carsington Short Course Duathlon is set in the scenic countryside of the Derbyshire Peak District. Carsington Water is situated off the B5035 between Ashbourne and Wirksworth.
Carsington Water is an excellent venue with plenty of car parking, numerous shops and an on site restaurant (which provides a superb viewing area for spectators) offering hot meals, snacks and refreshments. For the children – a great outdoor play area.
Start The event will be start at 8.30am and is one mass start
The first run is an undulating, out and back route along side the reservoir, the course is traffic free on country tracks and footpaths.
This will take you on a loop through the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District on an undulating course, all on roads. With a challenging climb towards Middleton Top. The route will be marshaled and signposted throughout but extra care should be taken on some of the steeper descents.
After taking in the sights on your bike, you will head out onto the out and back run, repeating the first run.
High Five are the official drinks sponsor of the Carsington ‘Short Course’ Duathlon and will be manning the feed stations (High Five Energy Source). If you would like to purchase this to try before the event our sponsors Total Fitness are giving a special offer at www.TFN.uk.com.
We are always in need of marshals on the course so if there are any partners or friends out there that are willing to help please get in touch with us and you will be rewarded with a goody bag and t-shirt.
