Cuda Foremarke Hall Junior Triathlon

The Formarke Hall Triathlon is set in the beautiful grounds of Foremarke Hall. The Georgian Manor house is home to the Repton Preparatory School. The race is now in it’s 5th year (the first year being an Aquathlon) and continues to go from strength to strength with bigger numbers competing on what can only be described as a great course in a great setting with a fantastic atmosphere. The event will once again be part of the East Midlands Junior Race series.

What is triathlon?

Triathlon is a multi-discipline event where people compete against the clock and each other. Swimming, cycling and running with no break except for the transition (this is a quick pit stop to change for the next discipline). All disciplines will take place within the grounds of the hall with a mixture of grass and tarmac surface

Location

Foremarke Hall is located to the south of Derby, and easily reached from both the M6 and M1 using the A50.

Distances

The distances are based on the child’s age on 31/12/17. Should the distances seem too far then you can enter different distances but you will not be eligible for a prize should your child place in the event.

First triathlon?

All you need is a swimming costume or trunks, goggles (not compulsory), a bike (road or mountain bike as long as it is in roadworthy condition), an approved cycle helmet (compulsory) and a pair of trainers.

So go on give it a Tri? You will be given full instructions before the event and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us. There will also be regular pre-race briefings aimed at novices.

Race facilities

The hall has ample parking with toilets, full changing facilities, showers and refreshments.

Entry Fee

  • Individual entry (BTF affiliated) = £19
  • Individual entry (unaffiliated) = £20

Start times – between 1pm – 5pm

Your actual start time will be determined by the swim time on your entry form and the age-group that you are entered into. Please be as accurate as possible so that you will be swimming with people of similar ability.

Chip Timing

Electronic timing will be used during the event and you will be able to download your times immediately after the race.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to top 3 boys and girls in each age-group. In addition all children will receive a finishers medal, technical t-shirt and free of charge photographs of the event.
